Why We Built the Fonix One

The problem

Streaming changed how we listen to music — but not everyone thinks it changed things for the better.

We wanted a device that just plays music. No accounts, no algorithms, no ads. Something you own, that plays what you own, wherever you are.

The solution

Fonix One is a pocket-sized Bluetooth music player built from scratch on the ESP32 platform. Every line of firmware exists for one purpose: playing your music.

• Load your library over Wi-Fi from any browser
• Pair any Bluetooth headphones or speaker
• 16+ hours of battery life
• No subscriptions, ever
